    MailGateway v0.1.0 — Initial Beta Release

    MailGateway is an open-source email-to-ticket module for FOSSBilling, allowing customers to create and reply to support tickets directly by email.

    Features

    • Automatic IMAP mailbox polling through FOSSBilling’s existing cron system.
    • Create support tickets from incoming emails, including guest tickets.
    • Reply to existing tickets using [Ticket #123] in the email subject.
    • Verify sender ownership before accepting replies.
    • Prevent duplicate ticket creation and email notification loops.
    • Automatically filter and ignore common automated responses.
    • Organise processed, ignored and failed messages into separate IMAP folders.
    • Securely store mailbox credentials.
    • Configure and test IMAP connections through the FOSSBilling administration interface.
    • Automatic Composer dependency installation, with manual installation supported.

    Requirements

    • FOSSBilling 0.8.8 (other versions not yet tested).
    • IMAP server with TLS and MOVE support.
    • PHP and Composer dependencies as documented in the README.

    Known limitations

    • Email attachments are not imported.
    • Ticket matching uses subject references only.
    • Sender authentication relies on the receiving mail server’s anti-spoofing configuration.

    Release status: Beta — tested in a development environment. Feedback, bug reports and contributions are welcome.
